Office Ergonomics
As a result of the increase of computer work in industry there has been an explosion of cumulative trauma disorders (CTDs) in the office environment. These CTDs are associated with repeated or sustained exertions in awkward or static postures and primarily involve the neck, arms, hands and occasionally the back.
An average of 33% of people experience discomfort while working at their desk.
Many times office ergonomics issues are not considered as important as industrial issues. However, our approach to a computer user is similar to that of an industrial worker - we identify risks and develop recommendations.
By using a combination of awareness training, behavioral coaching, and workstation evaluations, ErgoDynamics can significantly reduce (if not eliminate) these work-related injuries.
